Genesis chapter 11
Man seeks to elevate himself.

The first thing that I think about when I read this chapter is role models. There are all kinds of role models. There are people with impressive talents and skills that go beyond the average person. There are people that break new ground by doing things that have never been done before. There are people that just seem to rise higher and shine brighter than everyone around them. These are the people that inspire. They have faces and names that everybody knows.
Genesis 11:1-4
“Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”
